Tseng chases rare three-peat

She would be only the 10th professional female player ever to win the same tournament three years in a row.

"Hopefully I can be the 10th," Tseng said, as posted on PGA.com. "I will try my best because I love this course. It's pretty good for a long hitter on this golf course. You can go for the par-5s on some of the shallow greens and you can stop the ball on the green."

Annika Sorenstam achieved this distinction at three different places, winning the Michelob Light Classic from 1997-99, the Mizuno Classic from 2001-05 and the LPGA Championship from 2003-05.

The tournament in Chonburi, Thailand boasts a field of top-60 players and ten invitees, according to PGA.com. Tseng will play with Ai Miyazato and Suzann Petterson in the last group on Thursday.
